Anthurium Mr. Worldwide

Anthurium 'Mr. Worldwide' is a hybrid of the Anthurium 'Indo Portillae ' and the Anthurium 'NSE Portillae' from the American breeder Teo Le in 2022.

The name refers to the origin of both parent plants on the American and Asian continents. Both parents are characterized by a dark leaf color and a flat sinus. The designation Anthurium 'Mr. Worldwide' does not represent a single genotype, but rather the entire batch. Offspring come in different forms. These differ, for example, in the leaf color from greenish to black-bluish, like the pollen provider Anthurium 'NSE Portillae'.

Shortly after the appearance of this successful hybrid Anthurium 'Mr. Worldwide', Teo gave up growing anthuriums completely for personal reasons. Part of his collection continues to be cared for by his wife Elvy.
