Lobus (plural also lobus), literally translated from Latin as "lobes", this term refers to the paired structures of the leaf above the sinus, that is, to the two areas above the insertion point of the petiole. Anthuriums in particular are characterized by the variety of shapes of the leaves, which particularly includes the lobes.
